Tour Details:

This tour departs Kahului Airport Monday through Friday approximately 7:00 am with return is scheduled approximately 7:45 pm. Check-in at the Kahului Airport is estimated at 5:30 a.m.

Tour charges are processed when reservation is made to solidify commercial airfare. Due to the airlines becoming more rigid there is a No Cancellation/No Refund Policy effective March 12, 2010 for all neighbor island tours.

Restriction

Shirt and shoes required to board the Arizona Memorial. Swimsuits are not permitted. Due to the terrorist attacks on the United States and the location of the USS Arizona Memorial on an active military base, strict security measures are currently being enforced. No purses, handbags, fanny packs, backpacks, camera bags, diaper bags, luggage or other items that offer concealment are allowed in the Visitor Center or on the Memorial. Strollers with pockets and compartments must be empty before being allowed in the Visitor Center

This tour begins aboard the Molokai Ferry, a relaxing cruise from Maui to the “Friendly Isle” of Molokai. br />
Molokai has some of the highest sea cliffs and waterfalls in Hawaii. It is also here that past Hawaiian suffers of Hansons disease lived. The colony is still on Molokai and you can view it at a lookout point on Molokai.

A pack of mules prepare for the day's ride down to the village of Kalaupapa, The guides will teach you how to ride and control the mules. No worries, these mules are personally trained by company owner, Buzzy Sproat, and now the trail and switchback.

When you arrive at Kalaupapa, you'll be met by your tour guide and for the next few hours you'll learn about the leper colony, its people, incredible tales of struggle and human suffering, along with stories of courage and love.

You'll learn the history and see the grave site of Father Damien, who spent his life serving the people of Kalaupapa. Kalaupapa, is truly a historical place and will remain with you all your life.
