Tour Description


After kayaking in Kauai everything else just seems a little less exciting. It’s not just the thrill of being out on the water, it is experiencing the breathtaking view and hidden beaches with friends and family that make this trip so special.

Paddle the world famous Wailua River and hear the tales of the ali’i while hiking deep into the heart of the Island of Kauai. After your downwind paddle upstream you will tie your kayaks to a tree and takea somewhat rugged one mile hike up the valley to a dramatic 100 foot waterfall with a pool at the bottom. Swimming is encouraged! You will have a delicious picnic lunch and then hike back down to the kayaks for some more fun paddling! The paddle downstream is against headwinds, which makes this tour more strenuous than the Hidden Valley Tour.If you like a workout, this tour is for you! Swimming holes, native and exotic botanical wonders; the Wailua is a fantasyland of Hawaiian deep jungle scenery.

What to Wear and Bring
Swimwear, windbreaker or light raincoat,
footwear with aggressive tread for muddy conditions (i.e. sport-type sandals with heel straps or aqua socks with tread), sunscreen, hat, bug spray, waterproof camera.
